Accountabilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and continuously improve applications using Java, with opportunities to contribute across the full stack.
- Analyze requirements and participate in solution design, system architecture, and technical decision-making.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices, connecting applications with databases and other enterprise systems.
- Build solutions focused on performance, scalability, security, availability, and long-term maintainability.
- Work with relational and analytical databases, including MySQL, Oracle, and Hive.
- Apply DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, source control, and code management throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, and containerized environments.
- Contribute to cloud-based solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and IBM Cloud.
- Support monitoring and observability initiatives using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while contributing to application stability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in code reviews, version control, and collaborative engineering practices.
- Work within multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing applications with Java, including hands-on experience with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
- Knowledge of Maven, EJB, WebLogic, Node.js, and REST API development and integration.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Angular, Bootstrap, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and/or Hive.
- Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher, and container orchestration concepts.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins and Argo CD.
- Proficiency with Git and GitLab for version control and collaborative development.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud environment, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or IBM Cloud.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability concepts and tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Understanding of distributed computing and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban; familiarity with MSF, XP, or Lean principles is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- A continuous-learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies, architectures, and project requirements.
