What’s the role?

Join Westpac Institutional Bank's Financial Markets team and take ownership of a specialist sales portfolio focused on balance sheet, deposit and structuring solutions for corporate and institutional customers. This role sits within the Balance Sheet & Product team and offers the chance to build deep client relationships while driving growth across Westpac's term deposit and tailored deposit offering.

You'll work closely with Relationship Managers, Financial Markets Sales teams and product specialists to identify opportunities, originate new business and provide customers with market-leading deposit and balance sheet solutions. This is a client-facing role where you'll use your financial markets expertise to help customers make informed decisions while supporting the growth of Westpac's institutional term deposit franchise.

Success in this role comes from strong relationship management, market awareness, commercial insight and the ability to engage confidently with a broad portfolio of corporate and institutional clients. You'll enjoy building networks, uncovering opportunities and delivering solutions that create value for both customers and the bank.

Based in Sydney, you'll work onsite from our dealing room alongside Financial Markets specialists, building relationships and delivering solutions for corporate and institutional clients. While this is primarily an office-based role, flexibility to work from home may be available. You'll also have the opportunity to travel interstate to meet clients, strengthen relationships and uncover new business opportunities.

What do I need?

You'll be a commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys working with customers and thrives in a fast-paced financial markets environment.

• Experience in Financial Markets, Fixed Income, Treasury, Deposits or related institutional banking products.
• Strong sales, business development and relationship management skills with corporate or institutional customers.
• Ability to manage a large and active customer portfolio while identifying opportunities for growth.
• Strong understanding of financial markets products, pricing and customer investment solutions.
• Current AFMA accreditation and a passion for financial markets, combined with strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
