Job Description

The Rehab Aide I is responsible for assisting the rehabilitation staff (PT, OT, SLP, Recreation Therapy, Clinical Nutrition) with a variety of duties to optimize our patient care activities. Shriners Portland is looking for a PRN Rehab Aide I to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with set-up of equipment, patient transportation, and assists in patient treatment programs under the supervision of a therapist.
  • Ensures all equipment and supplies are organized, available and accessible in both treatment and storage areas.
  • Maintains inventory of routinely used supplies/equipment and orders additional inventory as needed. Greets patient, families, and visitors promptly, notifies therapist of patient’s arrival.
  • Responsible for regularly cleaning treatment areas (including toys) and equipment; will appropriately document cleaning of the department equipment based on manufacturers guidelines and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in Rehab/Therapy


Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
