About The Role

We are seeking a Chemical Process Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role in a Major Hazard Facility, requiring dedication, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety.   

This role involves operating a complex chemical production plant on a 24/7 shift basis (4 days on, 4 days off, 12-hour shifts). Responsibilities include: 

  • Safely running the production process in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Covering additional shifts and assisting with breakdowns when necessary. 
  • Participating in rotational business management tasks during non-shift periods (e.g., engineering, safety, production, and project management). 
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, legislative, and regulatory requirements. 

We invite candidates with the following attributes and qualifications to apply: 

  • Operations or technical experience in a process industry 
  • Tertiary qualifications or trade certificates in Operations, Chemistry, Engineering, Instrumentation, or Electrical fields. 
  • Familiarity with SAP or MS databases, project management, analytical/quality systems (e.g., ISO9002), and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience with Permit-to-Work systems or Safety Management is an advantage, but a commitment to high safety standards is essential. 
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift equipment as part of daily tasks. 
  • Strong communication skills, accountability, reliability, and a positive attitude. 
  • Sound knowledge of computer systems and the ability to self-start.
