About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, patient and reliable Live-In Care Professional to provide dedicated support and companionship to an individual living in Benfleet .

This is an important role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and understands the value of providing respectful, person-centred care. The successful candidate will be approachable, attentive and able to build a trusting and positive relationship with the individual they support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support.
  • Offer friendly companionship and engage in meaningful conversation.
  • Be a patient, attentive listener and provide emotional reassurance when needed.
  • Build and maintain a positive, trusting relationship.
  • Support with day-to-day care needs while promoting dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing .
  • Respect the individual's routines, preferences and personal space.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive home environment.
  • Work cooperatively with other care professionals involved in the individual's support.

Additional Care Support

The role is supported by a second care professional who will attend four care calls each day to assist with hoisting and transfers .

Safe moving and handling is a key priority, and the Live-In Care Professional will be expected to work alongside the visiting care professional to ensure transfers and other moving-and-handling tasks are carried out safely and respectfully.

Previous experience in care, including personal care and hoisting, is desirable but a caring and positive attitude is essential.
