About the Role

The Shift Manager Front Office is responsible for directly overseeing the front office operations on an assigned shift. This position ensures excellent guest service, smooth team performance, and adherence to the hotel’s policies and standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assists the Manager Front Office in hiring, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating and coaching of employees
  • Address and resolve escalated guest concerns effectively, promptly and professionally
  • Assign tasks and manage scheduling to meet operational needs.
  • Ensures the front desk staff is running smoothly, efficiently and productively during shifts.
  • Communicate seamlessly with other managers and departments about guest or operational concerns.
  • Monitor hotel availability and inventory of front desk supplies and equipment
  • Ensure accurate processing of financial transactions and reports
  • Monitor lobby areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and guest comfort.
  • Maintains communication between various hotel/casino departments and the front desk to ensure prompt and courteous check in/check out of hotel guests
  • This position issues comps but does not comp to the level which requires a casino key employee license in accordance with NJ CASINO CONTROL ACT & COMMISSION REGULATIONS
  • Other duties as defined by the upper management team

Essential Functions

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise & stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, & flexible shifts/hours

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

Requirements

What’s Required

  • Computer related experience desired including HMS and SYNKROS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality degree preferred)
  • A minimum of 3+years of appropriate experience in Front office operations.
  • Customer service experience is required
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution expertise.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand).

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $50,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
