IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement IaaS solutions within the Azure platform
• Install and configure Microsoft based technologies including SQL, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM and NAV and custom .NET applications
• Work with development team to design proper network traffic flow, and to troubleshoot and correct existing issues Design and implement server and storage technologies
• Improve our networks and connectivity, focusing on performance and reliability
• Partner with security team to secure network traffic using best practices, including appropriate use of encryption/VPNs, firewalls, etc.
• Strong experience with virtual networking
• Build proper logging and tracking of error logs for security and compliance
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve global system and network issues
• Document network processes, procedures, and practices
• Be a part of the 24x7 emergency on-call and work nights and weekends during maintenance periods and service outages

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in a related technology field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of extensive working experience in corporate infrastructure environment
• Knowledge and experience installing and configuring SQL 2012 and above
• Strong knowledge and experience in all aspects of IP networking and security infrastructure
• Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory and DNS
• Experience managing Windows servers
• Experience managing backup solutions
• Strong Experience working in a hybrid cloud environment (Office 365, AWS, Azure, etc.…)
• Experience working with a distributed IT team and the ability to assist and teach less advanced team members
• Must be capable of independent self-direction

• Office 365 – configuration and implementation
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, VB) to automate routine tasks
