Electronics Lab Technician

About The Role

Reports to: Operations Director
Note: Only applicants with a valid right to work in Ireland will be considered for this position. There is absolutely no sponsorship option for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lab work, which includes excellent soldering of fine pitch components
- Bring-up & testing of Benetel products received from contract manufacturer
- Interface with engineering to ensure products are tested to specification and report issues to engineering to allow resolution in a timely manner
- Programming & active debug of Benetel products
- Ensure all products are presented to Quality department in accordance with Benetel QA standards
- Pack and ship Benetel products to Benetel’s standard process
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational requirement is a diploma or bachelor’s degree in any relevant technical discipline
- Minimum 18 months experience in electronic or phone repair, where excellent soldering capability was a key requirement
Key Skills
- Proficient soldering capability to IPC Class 2
- Proficient in using programming tools (i.e. Xilinx, Microchip)
- Experience of manufacture or repair of electronic & telecommunication products
- Understanding of wireless testing requirements
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts
- Ability to adhere to process
- Experience with Altium Designer would be advantageous
