This person will be responsible for supporting technology development operations through defect inspections, data analysis, inline vs eol defect correlations and presentations. Coming up with innovative ways of solving defectivity issues and putting in place correct methods for DD reductions to aid in technology development including blanket and patterned wafer inspections and putting in place SPC methodologies for tracking and control.

Responsibilities include

  • Develop and implement quality inspection recipes that result in a reliable inline signal of tool and process health. Results in increased yields and the highest product quality.
  • Implement project or improvement plans for areas of responsibility including but not limited to: efficiency improvements, cost reduction or quality improvement programs and new product support.
  • Perform lot and equipment dispositions to support the continuous flow of Silicon and to minimize cycle time in a high volume manufacturing 200mm / 300mm wafer Fab running mix of products.
  • Identify systemic/acute problems in either process or equipment related sources and leading/communicating findings to the engineering staff in a continuous manner.
  • Participate in data analysis and problem resolution. This person will work across organization, in multiple fabs supporting all different TI technologies to ensure all program deliverables are met when it comes to defect inspections and DD reduction.
  • Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor processing and integration is a must. Knowledge of KLA/AMAT/other inspection tools operations and recipe writing is a big plus.
  • Drive process and device improvements through characterization, test, design of experiments, data analysis and simulation.
  • Work with multiple process, integration, reliability, packaging and test engineers to achieve these goals.
  • Work closely with the product groups to identify and optimize the resonator performance to meet critical final device parameters to enable game changing products in the market.

The person performing this role must be capable to plan effectively, drive schedules, meet critical deadlines on multiple tasks in parallel, lead technical discussions in their area of expertise, and work effectively across organizational boundaries. They must be able to clearly communicate project status and actions. Additionally, they must be able to interface with multiple organizations and work well on a diverse team to accomplish goals.

Minimum requirements

  • Masters in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
  • 2+ years of experience working as a yield enhancement engineer within the semiconductor industry on devices and taking these devices from development to production on schedule
