Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Scaffold Hoist Motor Technician to join our team in Austin , Texas . In this role, you will conduct post-rental inspections, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct annual inspections, and repair swing stage hoist motors to maintain safe operating conditions.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking technicians skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems. Prior experience with construction hoists, elevators, cranes, suspended scaffolds, or similar lifting equipment is highly desirable.

We strongly encourage applications from Industrial Maintenance Technicians, Electro-Mechanical Technicians, Electrical Maintenance Technicians, Elevator Technicians, and Field Service Technicians with strong electrical troubleshooting expertise. The ideal candidate will confidently diagnose electrical issues, execute repairs, and handle preventive maintenance on electric scaffold hoist motors in our Austin, TX facility.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Service equipment as required to keep in proper and safe working condition.
• Perform safety inspections on equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop and/or work environment.
• Meet all company, governmental, and equipment-related safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent (trade school education preferred).
• 1+ years of Scaffold Hoist experience or relevant mechanical/electrical repair background.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, tools, and safety requirements.
• Proven troubleshooting, work planning, and communication skills.
• Flexibility regarding work assignments and a strong commitment to equipment safety.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required.

Base Pay Range: $20.89 - 30.02
