About The Role
Set up, program, and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes. Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD T, and technical specifications. Use CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) to create toolpaths and machining strategies. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for a wide range of materials. Perform precision machining for both prototype and production components. Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM-adjacent tools. Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize programs, and improve cycle times. Maintain clean, organized, and safe machining work areas. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure part accuracy and manufacturability. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including tooling upgrades, process optimization, and workflow enhancements. Maintain accurate documentation, machining records, and revision control. Assist in equipment maintenance, calibration, and reliability programs.
