About The Role

The Inpatient Dietitian provides comprehensive clinical nutrition assessment, intervention, monitoring, and education for hospitalized patients to support optimal health outcomes. This role also delivers nutrition care services to oncology, home care, hospice, and outpatient populations and may travel to other facilities as needed. In addition, this role is responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform nutritional assessments, recommendations and education based on age, physiological and psychosocial needs on inpatients.
  • Provides nutrition assessments, recommendations, and education for patients in the Oncology clinic and outpatient departments
  • Serve as a member of the nutrition support team by assessing, monitoring and recommending enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Provide nutrition to the community through presentations and health fairs.
  • Teach community nutrition classes as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • FTE: 0.6; 24 hours per week
  • Work Schedule: Day shifts Monday-Friday; Occasional weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a Registered Dietitian Program
  • Wisconsin Certified Dietitian (If not present at hire, must obtain within 3 months or within 3 months of becoming a Registered Dietitian.)
  • Current Basic Life Support Card – American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
