Production Worker

About The Role
Assists in the operation and monitoring of production equipment, performing routine inspections, and supporting plant processes under supervision.

- Manufacturing experience preferred Working Safely is Priority.
- Packs product into bags, bulk bags, boxes and bulk hopper rail cars.
- Completes or assists with bulk car cleaning, sealing, purging and switching.
- Uses manual and automatic palletizer.
- Identifies bag type, pallet type, and code stickers.
- Remove, replace, and record broken and light weight bags.
- Dump broken bags and refeed non-conforming product.
- Check and record bag weights.
- Fills out proper code identification.
- Makes boxes using glue guns or heat shrink guns.
- Stacks or restacks bags or boxes on pallets as required.
- Operates warehouse and yard forklifts, skid steer loader, ultra-vac, floor sweeper as required.
- Unplugging elevators, fans, de-lumpers, product lines, and dense phase as needed.
- Cleanup of crusher, ore dump/grizzly, furnace, under palletizer elevators and other site cleanup as needed. Along with clearing belts and charging discharge lines as needed.
- Dump spill hoppers, including ultravac hopper.
- General plant cleanup, including but not limited to, washing down of structures and grounds, sweeping with push broom, vacuuming warehouse floors, and cleaning hoppers.
- Comply with all safety & environmental regulations, MSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Prioritize safety and follow all regulatory and company policies.
- Package products into bags, boxes, and railcars; inspect and label packaging.
- Operate palletizers, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.
- Perform cleanup tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, and washing down equipment and structures.
- Assist with bulk car prep, product refeed, and clearing blockages in equipment.
- Complete basic maintenance tasks such as propane filling, compactor use, and confined space procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and support general plant operations as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned
- High level of safety and quality
- Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge - Preferred
- Forklift experience - Preferred
- Computer Software - Preferred
- Warehouse experience - Preferred
- High school diploma, general education diploma (GED), or equivalent experience.
