About the Job The Litigation Legal Counsel at manager level serves as a strategic legal partner to the organization, providing comprehensive support in managing litigation and employment matters across the group. This role requires proven expertise in legal risk mitigation, case handling, stakeholder management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, external counsel, and government personnel to protect the organization's interests while maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Handle and assist in managing end-to-end litigation cases from pre-litigation phase through resolution, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes Provide strategic input and advice as well as support to business and human resources division for mitigation purposes related to potential litigation cases, with focus on risk reduction and damage control Advise on and support the drafting of employment contracts, employment-related policies and guidelines, and other employment-related documents to ensure legal compliance and consistency Liaise and maintain productive relationships with external counsel and relevant government personnel, serving as primary point of contact Prepare and deliver regular reports to management on the status, developments, and implications of ongoing litigation cases Conduct thorough legal research on complex issues and provide well-reasoned legal advice to support informed decision-making Monitor regulatory updates on a regular basis and communicate material changes that may affect litigation strategy or exposure Review and advise on day-to-day agreements to identify legal risks and ensure compliance with group standards Job Requirements You have at least 7 years of relevant experience including in-house. Holds a law degree from a reputable university. You possess an Advocate License from PERADI. You are a sought-after specialist in a regulated area (general litigation, customer protection, bankruptcy, labor and employment). You have deep knowledge of legal aspects, case handling and legal drafting. You have been exposed to engagement with high level and working level of relevant government officials. You have the ability to navigate through regulatory barriers and strategize to find a solution to overcome such barriers. You combine advanced legal expertise with strong commercial judgment and can hold your own with business leaders. You build the standards, templates and frameworks that make the wider team more consistent — through your work, not only by managing people. Has excellent communication, negotiation, networking, management, critical thinking, and leadership skills. You have the ability to work on a wide range of complex matters with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, with an ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment. Adaptable and commercially minded team player with collegial personality. Fluent in English, both oral and writing.
