What you will have an opportunity to do

Are you a hungry, self-motivated hospitality sales professional who loves the thrill of the hunt but also values building long-term client relationships? We are seeking a dynamic Hospitality Business Development Manager to drive revenue for our premier property. In this role, you will bring clients and be the face of our hotel across the NJ, Westchester NY, NYC, and Philadelphia regions. You will own this territory—actively hunting for new business opportunities while nurturing and growing existing accounts. This is a hands-on, sales position perfect for a closer who thrives on the road and loves connecting with clients. This role is Full-Time, Individual Contributor (No direct reports)

Key Responsibilities

  • Hunt New Business: Proactively prospect, cold-call, and secure new corporate accounts, group bookings, and local partnerships within your assigned regional territory.
  • Grow Existing Accounts: Maintain and expand relationships with current clients to maximize repeat business and increase overall share of wallet for the property.
  • Bring Existing Clients: Bring clients over that you already have relationships with
  • Territory Management: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for NJ, Westchester, NYC, and Philadelphia to consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct site inspections, host client site visits and travel throughout the region for face-to-face sales presentations and industry networking events.
  • Contract Negotiation: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact and RFP submission to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes within the Tri-State and PA regions.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of successful hands-on sales or business development experience within the hospitality/hotel industry.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with corporate travel, group business, or event segments in the NJ, NY, and/or Philadelphia markets.
  • Hunter Skills: A proven track record of finding and closing new business, not just managing inbound leads.
  • Autonomy & Drive: Ability to work independently and stay motivated without constant supervision.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Travel: Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently throughout the designated region.
