About The Role

At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, operating room (OR) nurses deliver incredible care that is unseen anywhere else in the world. In 2009, we performed a 43-hour surgery to remove a deeply attached abdominal tumor. Later that year, we pioneered the use of portable extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) as a bridge to lung transplantation, in yet another high profile case. From arranging care to monitoring recovery, our nurses make safe, effective and historic surgeries possible. Here, OR nurses use expertise and top technology to consistently achieve among the nations lowest mortality rates. Our state-of-the-art operating suites include four of only six Artis Zeego 3-D robotic scanners in the world. We're home to the new LeFrak Center for Robotic Surgery, the nations largest center for pediatric surgery, and a state Center of Excellence for treatment of gallbladder disease.

This is a per diem position at NewYork-Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria

At least 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP or DNAP)

Required Criteria

Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Master's of Science in Nursing
Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
BCLS Certification
ACLS Certification
