Bank Healthcare Assistant | Spire King's Lynn Clinic - South Wootton | Ad Hoc Bank Shifts | Monday to Friday

Spire Healthcare's clinic in King's Lynn, Norfolk, is seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to support the team on a flexible, ad hoc basis. Opened in September 2025, the clinic continues to grow, and we are looking for a reliable, compassionate individual to provide cover during busy periods, annual leave, sickness absence, and ongoing service development.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a patient-focused team and play a key role in delivering outstanding care within a modern outpatient setting.

The clinic is home to a team of experienced consultants offering specialist services across a range of areas, including

  • Cardiology
  • Cosmetic Surgery
  • da Vinci® Robotic-Assisted Surgery
  • Gastroenterology
  • General Surgery
  • Gynaecology
  • Mako® Robotic-Assisted Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopaedics (including Spine)
  • Pain Management
  • Urology

As part of our clinical team, you will contribute to the smooth running of the clinic while helping to deliver an exceptional experience for patients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey. You will work closely with nurses and clinicians to ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

  • Supporting consultants and nurses during patient assessments, treatments, and procedures.
  • Monitoring and recording patient observations as required.
  • Preparing clinical rooms, equipment, and supplies for consultations and procedures.
  • Delivering high standards of patient-centred care, ensuring dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in line with clinical and organisational standards.
  • Adhering to infection prevention, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.

Shift Pattern

  • Flexible bank shifts
  • Monday to Friday
  • Monday-Friday, 0730-2000. Shift hours may vary depending on clinic need.

Who We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have

  • An experienced, and preferably NVQ level 2/3 qualified HCA
  • Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a clinical, outpatient, hospital, or GP setting.
  • Phlebotomy skills - desirable
  • A caring, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of infection prevention, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
