Are you an experienced Media Engineer with a passion for designing, deploying and commissioning world-class broadcast and production systems?
At CTI, we're looking for a talented and customer-focused Media Engineer to take ownership of the complete technical delivery lifecycle, from initial customer consultation through system design, deployment, commissioning and final handover.
This is far more than a traditional design role. You'll work directly with clients, develop innovative technical solutions, support installations, lead commissioning activities and ensure every project performs exactly as intended. What You'll Be Doing
As a Media Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering industry-leading media, broadcast and production technology solutions.
Customer Consultancy & Solution Design
- Engage directly with customers to understand workflows, operational requirements and project objectives.
- Translate customer needs into practical, scalable and technically robust solutions.
- Provide trusted technical consultancy throughout the project lifecycle.
System Engineering & Documentation
Design broadcast, media and production systems from concept through to delivery.
Create
- Signal flow diagrams
- Network topologies
- Rack elevations
- System schematics
- Equipment schedules
Bills of Materials (BoMs)
Produce detailed engineering documentation and installation drawings.
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Act as the technical lead during deployment and integration activities.
- Support installation teams and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Ensure solutions are delivered in line with design specifications and customer expectations.
Commissioning & Testing
- Configure, test and commission professional broadcast and media systems.
- Lead commissioning activities across routing, switching, audio, control, networking and production platforms.
- Support FAT, SAT and User Acceptance Testing.
Training & Handover
- Deliver technical and operational training to customers.
- Produce as-built documentation, configuration backups and handover packs.
- Support clients through operational readiness and system transition.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within broadcast, media, production or systems engineering.
- Proven experience delivering projects from requirements gathering through implementation and commissioning.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.

QualificationsDoes experience count?
-Education: Associates degree is preferred, but not required. We take into account your experience/skill level and what you bring to the table as an individual.
-Attitude and Aptitude: Are key! We need someone who is eager to learn and comes to work ready to tackle any situation.
-At least 5 years experience in broadcast engineering, including authoring design documentation for broadcast technical architectures.
-Experience in broadcast engineering sales is preferred.
-Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems used in the Media and Entertainment / Broadcast industry. Formats include high-definition, UHD, and HDR video systems deployed using analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.
-Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL’s, QoS, VLAN’s, and Wireless Access Points.
-Experience with various hardware and software architectures, including: High Performance Data Storage (SAN, NAS), Video and Media Data Management (Archive and Backup Strategies), Media Asset Management Platforms (MAM) - CatDV, IPV, Primestream, Dalet, Reach Engine, Edit Share, Iconik, networking, cloud platforms, and storage architecture.
