Fraud Monitoring & Detection Officer

Job Purpose

Monitor and analyze banking transactions to identify, assess, and prevent fraudulent and suspicious activities using fraud detection systems, data analytics, and early-warning tools. Support fraud investigations, risk assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement of fraud prevention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activities and fraud alerts.
• Analyze data and identify fraud patterns, trends, and emerging risks.
• Take appropriate initial actions to contain and prevent fraud in line with Bank policies.
• Prepare periodic fraud reports, statistics, and management recommendations.
• Support the enhancement of fraud detection systems and monitoring tools.
• Keep up to date with regulatory requirements and global fraud trends.
• Develop fraud awareness materials for employees and customers.
• Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and emergency response activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of banking experience .
• Strong knowledge of fraud detection, financial forgery, banking products, cards, and electronic channels.
• Knowledge of Fraud Detection Systems, data analytics, and AI-based monitoring.
• Understanding of operational risk, AML, BCP, and relevant local/international regulations.
• Strong analytical, investigative, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Good command of English.
