Software Engineer (Frontend-Focused Full Stack)

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of agile software development , including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• -
• Build and evolve high-performance frontend applications using Next.js , with a focus on usability and scalability
• -
• Contribute to backend services using Node.js and NestJS , supporting RESTful APIs and workflows
• -
• Apply OOP principles and modern JavaScript (ES6+) to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• -
• Architect systems optimized for speed, scalability, and reliability
• -
• Collaborate with design, product, backend, and underwriting teams to deliver user-centered features
• -
• Research, prototype, and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve our development workflow
• -
• Collaborate with a hybrid, globally distributed team across time zones using Slack, GitHub, shared documentation, and Zoom

Key Requirements

• -
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• -
• 3-5+ years building modern, scalable React-based web applications ; experience with Next.js is a plus
• -
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js , and RESTful API design
• -
• Solid understanding of OOP and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• -
• Experience with TDD and automated testing frameworks
• -
• Experience with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure
• -
• Bonus : NestJS, WebSockets, Ruby on Rails, and/or Python experience
