About The Role

  • The Branch Manager oversees the overall operations performed at a specific branch location. Providing leadership and
  • coordination of services to clinical and non-clinical personnel within the location. The manager may also serve as the
  • site leader and serve as the liaison with regional leadership and serve as the representative of the company within the
  • community.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
  • Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.
  • Ensures services provided by the branch location are done so in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws,
  • rules, and regulations, including but not limited to those put forth by: CMS, Department of Health, DOT, FDA,
  • OSHA, and the company’s accreditation organization.
  • Collaboration with member health systems, hospice partners and key community referral sources
  • Looks for process improvement opportunities and makes recommendations to leadership.
  • Creates an environment of growth through actively serving on the Regional Leadership Team.
  • Works with the Sales leaders to promote AdaptHealth by new program development, operational backup,

personal visits, coordination of educational activities, including growing new hospice accounts.

  • Oversees timely and efficient execution of all branch operations including Respiratory staff (with appropriate

clinical supervisory support, as required).

  • Addresses service concerns, identifies trends and reacts accordingly.
  • Maintains overall expenses at or below budget.
  • Creates a team environment that allows AdaptHealth to say “yes” to referrals, processes referrals timely,
  • efficiently, and accurately to grow our business as evidenced by achieving established customer service/patient
  • satisfaction goals.
  • Continuously reviews trends in referral satisfaction and complaints, determines root cause analysis, and

implements appropriate communication/measures for improvements.

  • Assist in resolving patient equipment and service problems under emergency conditions.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, required service checks, and patient/environmental assessment on home

respiratory equipment during scheduled visits to patients.

  • Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
  • Works with others to ensure initial and ongoing training (including on the job training) occurs regularly with return

demonstration and accountability as evidenced by achieving operational and regulatory audit goals.

  • Ensures staff are properly trained on intake, handling and disposition of oxygen cylinder/contents and deliveries

for commercial accounts.

  • Oversees concentrator check lists which individually show each concentrator and how they are calibrated and

cleaned according to manufacturer specifications.

  • Inventory that is provided by prescription only, per FDA regulations or state regulatory bodies, will be held in an

area with "limited access" so that its distribution is controlled.

  • Control inventory at the branch level, ordering inventory in accordance with company restocking protocol.
  • Ensures inventory is securely monitored, and any quantity discrepancies identified will be investigated and

corrected.

  • Reporting inaccuracies such as losses, thefts, or criminal activity, as well as counterfeit or contraband to the

Board and any other appropriate federal or state agencies within (7) business days.

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
  • Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing

comprehensive training and regular feedback.

  • coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies,
  • procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Establishes annual goals and objectives for the department based on the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Responsible for achieving organizational performance and retention goals, including timely completion of

performance evaluations.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • An associate degree from an accredited college requires four (4) years equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s

degree preferred.

  • Five (5) years’ experience in the HME industry is required.
  • Relevant experience in health care administrative, financial, insurance customer services, claims, billing, home

health and/or medical terminology training preferred.

  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work environment will be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
  • Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • May be exposed to angry or irate customers or patients.
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with customers with the ability to

demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.

  • Mental alertness to perform the essential functions of position.
  • Ability to work after non-business hours as needed.
