You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns in the following positions: Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more.

The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. We also offer an established path for next-level opportunities – making this internship the starting point for a long-term career path.

Our Internship Experience includes

  • 12-week paid program beginning the end of May to mid-August to gain insight and knowledge in your field.

Position Overview

The Intern will perform duties designed to encourage professional growth and development, through short-term projects that include activities such as the collection, compilation, analysis, and presentation of data related to our international transactions around the world. This role will assist in the review of import and export processes and documents in multiple countries and help in data management. By supporting trade compliance, the intern will have exposure across various business units and the multiple countries where H.B. Fuller does business, while encouraging collaboration with departments such as supply chain, logistics, procurement, and business operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the launch for consortium of internal import/export key contacts, focusing primarily on new entities.
  • Complete global profiles of customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Working to create data analytics, metrics and dashboards for Global Business Unit leaders of their trade activity.
  • Support in obtaining and documenting Free Trade requests from suppliers.
  • Support in obtaining Raw Material Tariff Code data.
  • Identify and documentation of Tariff Code discrepancies as maintained in multiple data sources.
  • Address Duty Rate Requests.
  • Assist in deployment of Standard Operating Procedures, global templates and guidance documents.
  • Develop and catalog repository of key documents (i.e, Powers Of Attorney).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, Business Finance/Economics, Global Studies/International Trade, or Similar.
  • Beginning level business or economic or introduction to a udit/accounting or data analytics or Global Studies/International Trade ;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal forms;
  • Familiarity with EXCEL and other MS Office tools; problem solving and computer/skillsets.
  • Minimum rising junior or senior in majors identified above.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate SAP.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand global impact of regulatory or tax-associated decisions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $22-$25 per hour.
