We are seeking a Floor Operations Leader with proven experience leading hands-on upholstery manufacturing operations to the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality, and performance. This role will translate leadership priorities into daily production plans, optimize workflow, lead teams in real time, and drive operational excellence across the floor. This role is at our LA-based Downey workroom.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and drive daily production performance through strategic workflow and staffing.
  • Direct production flows through a strong presence on the floor, hands-on oversight, and timely resolution of production issues.
  • Uphold rigorous standards of safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
  • Guide, coach, and develop production teams through clear direction and consistent accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and refine a production strategy that supports scalability and operational excellence.
  • Partner closely with the SVP of Production and Floor Operations Lead to ensure alignment on forecasts, performance, and seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Product Development, and Supply Chain partners to support uninterrupted production flow.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in upholstery, furniture, or related manufacturing environments, including direct leadership of production teams.
  • Expertise in production scheduling, workflow management, staffing coordination, and achieving daily output targets.
  • Proven experience leading day-to-day manufacturing operations in fast-paced, high-volume environments, with a strong floor presence.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and practical problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a deep commitment to craftsmanship, product quality, and operational standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align teams, escalate issues appropriately, and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Working knowledge of production metrics, labor efficiency, throughput, and performance reporting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent use of stairs, bending, reaching, and lifting materials or samples as needed
  • Frequently stand and walk for extended periods
  • Navigate a manufacturing environment safely, including exposure to machinery, moving equipment, varying noise levels, and temperature fluctuations
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds as needed, while using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Occasionally sit for extended periods while working at a computer, attending meetings, and reviewing operational data
  • Visually inspect products and production processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Occasional travel between facilities, vendors, or partner locations as required
