About The Role

Job Summary

  • The Sand & Gravel Department is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Water Truck Driver /
  • Equipment Operator to support upcoming solar projects. The successful candidate will be
  • responsible for safely operating a water truck and other heavy equipment in an active aggregate
  • and construction environment. This position requires the ability to safely drive on gravel roads
  • with high volumes of oncoming traffic, as well as operate various equipment as needed to
  • support daily Sand & Gravel operations. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, dependable,
  • and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Duties

  • Safely operate a water truck on gravel roads and active construction sites.
  • Maintain constant awareness of surrounding vehicles, equipment, personnel, and

changing road conditions.

  • Demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices in areas with high-volume

oncoming traffic.

  • Follow site-specific traffic plans, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Learn and properly perform assigned water truck operations and responsibilities.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Work cooperatively with other employees, equipment operators, and project

personnel.

  • Perform other duties related to water truck operations as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous water truck or heavy equipment experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must demonstrate safe driving skills and good judgment.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to work effectively in an active construction and aggregate environe environment.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when required
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and comply with all applicable safety

requirements.

  • Valid Nevada driver's license with an insurable driving record; Commercial Driver's License

(CDL) preferred.

  • Must be able to pass any and all drug screenings that may come up
