Job Summary
This role is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of North America channel customer accounts, driving collections performance, reducing delinquency, and supporting cash flow objectives. The role partners closely with customers, sales teams, dispute analysts, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues, mitigate financial risk, and improve overall account health. The role conducts portfolio analysis, resolves disputes, leads improvement initiatives, and supports operational plans.
Responsibilities
- Manages a complex portfolio of North America channel customer accounts and independently drives collection activities to achieve cash flow and aging targets.
- Conducts analysis of aging balances, payment trends, and account health to identify collection risks and opportunities.
- Engages directly with customers to negotiate payment commitments and resolve outstanding receivables.
- Collaborates with sales, customer operations, dispute teams, and other stakeholders to remove barriers impacting collections.
- Conducts thorough analysis and research on customer receivables account delinquencies and develops action plans to facilitate payment resolution.
- Resolves disputes impacting customer payments, ensuring timely follow-up, issue ownership, and prompt resolution.
- Identifies trends of non-payment and works with internal partners to address root causes and improve collection performance.
- Initiates and follows dispute resolution processes, ensuring visibility, accountability, and closure of open issues.
- Analyzes high-risk accounts and collaborates with business partners to develop strategies that prevent future delinquency.
- Solves complex collection challenges through effective negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
- Leads moderate to high complexity projects, supports process improvements, and delivers reports that support operational and strategic objectives.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in collection, credit, banking, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Professional in Credit and Collections (CPCC)
- Accounts Receivable or Finance-related certifications preferred
