Internship for Sustainability Management Intern (GHG, Environmental & Social Management)

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  1. GHG Management
  • Support compilation, verification, and analysis of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions data.
  • Assist in carbon footprint calculation and emissions inventory management.
  • Support monitoring of GHG reduction initiatives and tracking of climate-related KPIs.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research on climate-related regulations, standards, and best practices (GHG Protocol, TCFD, IFRS S2, etc.).
  • Prepare sustainability and climate-related reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  1. Environmental Management
  • Support implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring environmental performance indicators such as waste management, water consumption, energy efficiency, emissions, and resource utilization.
  • Help evaluate environmental risks and impacts through environmental assessments and reviews.
  • Support environmental compliance tracking and regulatory reporting.
  • Participate in sustainability projects involving waste minimization, recycling, circular economy, biodiversity, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  1. Social Management
  • Support the implementation of social impact and community engagement programmes.
  • Assist in stakeholder mapping, engagement activities, and sustainability awareness campaigns.
  • Support collection and analysis of social performance indicators.
  • Participate in community development, employee volunteerism, and social responsibility initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations related to social performance and ESG disclosures.
  1. Sustainability Reporting & Governance
  • Support data gathering and consolidation for sustainability reports and ESG disclosures.
  • Assist in preparing management reports, presentations, and sustainability communication materials.
  • Support sustainability audits, assurance exercises, and internal assessments.
  • Participate in cross-functional sustainability projects and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree (3rd Year and above) in:
  • Environmental Science
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Sustainability Studies
  • Occupational Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE)
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Energy Management
  • Climate Change Studies
  • Natural Resources Management
  • Social Sciences
  • Corporate Sustainability
  • Any related discipline

Experience & Skills

  • Strong interest in sustainability, climate change, environmental and social governance (ESG).
  • Knowledge of sustainability concepts, environmental regulations, or GHG accounting is an advantage.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
