The role
We are looking for a data driven, confident decision maker to join our Service Improvement team as an Analyst. Operating at the front line of daily performance, you will manage high frequency reporting. Including shift by shift hourly reports and daily operational summaries to keep control rooms, maintenance teams, and senior stakeholders aligned.
Please note this job does not entail remote working and is based on site.
What you will take on
- Execute high volume, repeatable operational workflows directly from the desk, prioritizing task execution and swift delivery over report creation.
- Actively generate, release, and route hourly work directly to warehouse operatives scanners, balancing workloads across various operational areas in real time.
- Compile and distribute hourly status reports across email and live team chat channels, keeping shift teams instantly informed of operational cadence.
- Act as a confident communication link, directly delivering live updates, answering operational queries, and providing immediate feedback to stakeholders across all levels on site.
- Compile and track all service related metrics across NDL, building the weekly service pack to review cross departmental service levels, error rates, and key improvement areas.
- Streamline high frequency manual tasks using formulas, queries, and basic scripts to increase shift output and speed up execution.
- Build and maintain clear Service Snapshot dashboards for site teams while delivering rapid ad-hoc data support for department managers.
What you will bring
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload, working to tight timescales
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good personal time management skills and awareness of how to use time efficiently to meet deadlines
- Ability to critically analyse data and provide recommendations to support the senior management team.
- Technical skills and expertise working with datasets across different sources and formats
- Experience with databases and data analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets equivalent
- Strong data visualisation skills and ability to simplify complex information and present trends and key performance indicators for decision makers.
- A great work ethic, namely; a motivated team player with a positive attitude towards taking on new challenges.
- Calm under pressure and ability to work to short deadlines
- Focused on continuous learning and growth within the role
