About The Role

Help shape the future of Employee & Industrial Relations at TGE Freight.

We're looking for an experienced Manager, Workplace Relations & Compliance to join our People team, supporting leaders across the business on complex employee and industrial relations matters.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced ER/IR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, managing complex workplace matters and influencing positive business outcomes in a dynamic, unionised environment.

About the role

You'll provide expert advice and support across a broad range of employee relations matters while ensuring legislative compliance and best practice.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading complex workplace investigations, including misconduct, grievances, bullying and policy breaches.
  • Providing trusted ER and IR advice to leaders on complex people matters.
  • Coaching leaders through performance, disciplinary and workplace issues.
  • Interpreting employment legislation, enterprise agreements, awards and policies.
  • Representing TGE in Fair Work Commission and other industrial matters where required.
  • Building strong relationships with People teams, leaders and employee representatives.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across ER practices, governance and capability.

About you

You'll bring

  • Significant experience managing complex Employee and Industrial Relations matters.
  • Strong workplace investigation and case management capability.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience working within a unionised environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
  • A pragmatic, commercially focused approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
