Westpac Group · Sydney, NSW, Australia

About The Role

Create your best future and join as a Manager Compliance Incidents.

What’s the role?

As a Manager Compliance Incidents, you’ll assess incidents that may need to be reported to regulators, primarily ASIC, APRA and the Banking Code Compliance Committee. You’ll work with teams across the Group to understand what happened, apply the relevant regulatory and industry requirements, and reach clear, well supported conclusions.

You’ll also help prepare breach reports for reportable incidents and share insights that support stronger compliance risk management. You don’t need to be an expert across every regulatory area from day one. You’ll have access to training and subject matter experts as you build your knowledge across privacy, responsible lending, hardship, the Banking Code of Practice and other relevant obligations.

This is a permanent, full-time role with flexibility to be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

What do I need?

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work through complex information with care
  • Sound judgement and the ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail
  • Experience assessing compliance incidents or applying regulatory obligations
  • The ability to work collaboratively with business teams when investigating incidents
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to provide practical, well considered advice
