About The Role

With a legacy of over 70 years, Garrett Motion is a cutting-edge technology leader enabling emission reduction and energy efficiency. We design, manufacture and sell highly engineered turbocharging, air and fluid compression, and high-speed electric motor technologies for customers in the mobility and industrial fields.

We develop advanced turbochargers and electric boosting technologies for hybrids and electrified powertrains. We serve original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and independent aftermarket distributors worldwide across the mobility and industrial fields. Our solutions support light and commercial vehicles (on- and off-highway), as well as marine and industrial applications, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and power generation.

Join our team as a Buyer Intern!

As a Buyer Intern, you will support the Procurement team in day-to-day purchasing activities while gaining valuable exposure to a fast-paced, international automotive environment. Working closely with experienced buyers and cross-functional stakeholders, you will contribute to procurement operations, supplier communication, purchase order management, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Create and support the creation of purchasing documents and procurement-related records
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) to suppliers and monitor delivery status
  • Ensure the accuracy of order information and procurement data within Garrett systems
  • Support buyers with daily operational purchasing activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes
  • Assist in maintaining and improving procurement databases and documentation
  • Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and related purchasing activities
  • Work closely with the Global Procurement team to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Participate in supplier communication and follow-up activities

What we need

  • Final-year Bachelor's student, Master's student, or recent graduate in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
  • Strong interest in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Negotiation, or the Automotive industry
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage tasks received from several buyers and prioritize work effectively
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
