About The Role

The work-study position in the Office of Auxiliary Services Operations reports to the Associate Director and collaborates with the entire staff in the department. Work-study student also interacts with on-campus business partners and other University departments.

Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Support Auxiliary Services Operations team in related duties.
  • Support vending audits for both beverage and snack services.
  • Supports Reverse Vending Machine program.
  • Supports dining equipment inventory surveys.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives to support vendor campus events.
  • Clerical work which includes the use of Word and Excel spreadsheet, and label creation.
  • Routine office duties such as photocopying, e-filing, computer work, and running errands.
  • Additional tasks and projects assigned by the Auxiliary Services team.

Average Number of Hours per Week

  • up to 20 hours per week
  • Schedule: Flexible, Mon – Fri

Minimum qualifications

Current USF student with Federal Work Study award for Fall 2026-Spring 2027.

Preferred qualifications

  • Must have a strong sense of organization.
  • Must be reliable and dependable when reporting to work, completing assignments, and responding to communication emails promptly.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation, the ability to use good judgement, and exercise discretion.
  • Ability to work outside an office environment (occasional outside event participation).
  • Must have excellent professional demeanor, self-motivated and flexible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, web sites, and social media.

  • Demonstrate the importance of communication flow in the workplace.
