About the role
The Gersh Agency seeks an efficient, multi-tasking Assistant for the Feature/Television division of the BTL Production Department. Clients include Award winning producers, cinematographers, production designers, costume designers, and editors. Position is similar to other agency talent or literary assistant positions but with an emphasis on the production aspect of the business.
Duties
- Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls from clients, producers, production company and studio executives/staff, and accounting departments.
- Effectively communicate and interact with high-profile clients and executives with utmost professionalism.
- Ability to make sound decisions efficiently and effectively using critical thinking and practical approaches.
- Keep track of client's incoming weekly payments and follow up with payroll when overdue.
- Generate client deal letters, invoices, and start paperwork.
- Send clients script submissions and set client meetings.
- Update client avails, resumes, and websites.
- Communicate deal points to the accounting department through Trust Accounting and assist with payment tracking.
- Maintain and update project tracking grid.
- Prepare monthly expense reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Prior talent agency experience is recommended but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment,
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills are paramount.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to make a two-year commitment.
Compensation
$21/hour + Full Benefits
