About the Role
The IT Field Technician serves as Digacore’s on-site technical presence, supporting client projects, hardware deployments, site surveys, and infrastructure installations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technology work, solving problems in the field, and helping ensure projects are completed accurately and professionally.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to install, document, and support technology environments while delivering a positive client experience throughout every engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Perform on-site technology assessments and network surveys for client environments
- Install, configure, and test hardware including workstations, switches, firewalls, access points, and other IT equipment
- Support project deployments, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure rollouts
- Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and network issues encountered during project work
- Document client environments, installations, and project changes through detailed notes and photos
- Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects stay on track
- Maintain accurate inventory and equipment tracking during deployments
- Ensure client sites are left organized, professional, and fully operational upon project completion
- Travel to client locations as needed, including occasional overnight travel
What You Bring
- 1+ years of IT experience, field services, project work, or technical support
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including switches, routers, wireless networks, and cabling
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 and common business technology platforms
- Familiarity with networking solutions such as UniFi, Meraki, or SonicWall
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification
- Experience supporting MSP projects or client-facing IT environments
- Experience with network installations, rack equipment, or structured cabling
