We are looking for an energetic and talented Business Affairs Assistant to be based out of Montreal, Quebec for a hybrid work from home/in-office position.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Business Affairs Manager, the Business Affairs Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and administering various acquisition-related business affairs activities for a dedicated slate of television movie productions. This person will be an integral team member of the Business Affairs department.

Main Responsibilities

Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Support the Business Affairs team with various administrative tasks and projects for our robust slate of television movies.
  • Working closely with the Business Affairs Coordinator to help collect documentary deliverables.
  • Register all rights for copyright.
  • Track and communicate regarding delivery milestones and schedules, etc.
  • Follow and contribute toward improving “best practices”, as well as creative problem solving and troubleshooting on day-to-day business affairs matters.
  • Liaise with and maintain proactive communication with all other departments (production, finance, distribution, post-production) on various business affairs issues and provide general business affairs support.

  • You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy daily collaboration and communicating with a large team.
  • College or university degree in film or business administration an asset
