Job Description
As Nine’s flagship digital destination, nine.com.au reaches millions daily with trusted news, lifestyle features, and world-class sports coverage. Our fast-paced team uncovers the human story behind the headline, capturing Australian life across food, travel, parenting, and style. Joining our digital newsroom gives you the platform to innovate, stay on the pulse of breaking news, and shape stories that inform and entertain the nation.
Reporting to the Shopping Editor, you will drive engagement and affiliate revenue by sourcing, reviewing, and publishing high-quality shopping content across tech, beauty, fashion, health, and lifestyle platforms. You will play a pivotal role in delivering fast, compelling digital journalism that inspires consumers and meets key audience targets.
Day to day you will
- Pitch engaging, audience-focused shopping content ideas to the Shopping Editor.
- Source, research, and review products aligned with broader affiliate revenue goals.
- Track major shopping events, product launches, and emerging market trends.
- Write and publish a minimum of four digital stories daily across the week.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve performance, revenue and audience targets.
- Promote content using strategic homepage headlines, newsletters, and social platforms.
- Shoot, source, and edit high-quality visuals using Adobe Express for daily articles.
What you'll bring
- Prior experience in digital media alongside a solid understanding of affiliate content strategies.
- Proven ability to write fast, accurate copy while working under rolling deadline pressure.
- Hands-on experience publishing within a CMS and optimising content for SEO and revenue.
- Excellent research skills, strong grammar, and a working knowledge of media legal practices.
- Proficient photo editing skills using Adobe Express/Photoshop, with a creative eye for visual presentation.
- Ability to amplify stories across social channels, newsletters, and distribution platforms.
- Strong self-motivation to work independently, combined with collaborative communication skills.
