About The Role

Key Responsibilities Operations Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines and customer shipments.
  • Monitor workflow and allocate resources to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and optimize storage utilization.

Inventory Control

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and material shortages.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and compliance with warehouse procedures.
  • Support inventory audits and maintain accurate system records.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates and team leaders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Promote employee engagement and accountability.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and material handling equipment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Support implementation of new warehouse technologies and best practices.

Customer Service

  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality teams.
  • Ensure material availability to prevent production interruptions.
  • Resolve operational issues impacting internal and external customers.
  • Communicate operational status and performance metrics to management.

Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing and materials management environments preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Inventory management and reporting tools.
