L.L.Bean is seeking a Fulfillment Systems & Data Analyst to join our team in Freeport, Maine.
This position serves as a technical and analytical resource while developing expertise in fulfillment systems, databases, reporting platforms, and application development.
Responsible for building, supporting, and continuously improving the systems, databases, reporting, and analytical tools used to plan, schedule, monitor, and execute Fulfillment operations. Translates business requirements into practical solutions that improve operational visibility, decision-making, automation, and workforce effectiveness.
Partners closely with Planning, Scheduling, Operations, Learning, and IS to ensure leaders have accurate data, reliable systems, and scalable tools needed to support day-to-day execution and long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytical tools used by the Fulfillment team to monitor performance, productivity, service levels, labor utilization, inventory, and operational execution.
- Build and maintain SQL queries, database objects, data pipelines, and automated processes used to collect, store, transform, and distribute operational data.
- Support workforce planning, scheduling, and operational systems by troubleshooting issues, researching root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance web-based tools and forms that support operational processes, employee management, scheduling, hiring, training, and execution activities.
- Partner with operational leaders to understand business requirements and translate those requirements into practical system enhancements, automation opportunities, and reporting solutions.
- Perform moderately complex data analysis across multiple systems and data sources to identify trends, explain performance, and support operational decision-making.
- Maintain and improve data quality, data governance standards, and validation processes to ensure information is accurate, complete, and reliable.
- Support system integrations between fulfillment applications, planning systems, data warehouses, and enterprise platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, databases, applications, reports, interfaces, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support modernization efforts by helping migrate legacy tools, reports, and databases to supported technologies and platforms.
- Provide end-user support and training for reporting tools, applications, and data resources.
- Participate in on-call support and incident resolution activities for critical systems and operational processes.
- Research new technologies, analytical techniques, automation opportunities, and best practices that improve operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners including Operations, Planning, Learning, IS, Finance, Retail, Supply Chain, and external vendors.
- Perform additional analytical, technical, reporting, and systems-related projects as assigned.

Education Level
Four-year bachelor’s degree preferred.
Years of Experience
3 years of relevant experience.

Required

Preferred
- Basic knowledge of SQL or relational databases.
- Experience using Excel for data analysis.
- Exposure to reporting, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization concepts and dashboard development.
- Exposure to application development, scripting, automation, or web technologies.
- Interest in supply chain, fulfillment, operations, or workforce planning.
Additional Requirements
- This position participates in support of business-critical systems and may require occasional planned weekend, off-shift, or on-call support.
- Position requires the ability to balance technical work with direct interaction and partnership with operational business teams.
- Due to the hands-on nature of supporting fulfillment operations, this position requires full-time on-site attendance and is not eligible for remote work arrangements.
L.L.Bean uses a market-based compensation approach. The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $65,800.00-$82,200.00. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, education, geographic location, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
