About The Role
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Compensation Consulting team, part of our people and investments business at Marsh. This role will be based in the Northeast, preferably New York. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office or on-site .
As a Senior Consultant, Workforce Rewards & Job Architecture , you will engage closely with clients and staff to deliver high-impact consulting services focused on broad-based rewards, job architecture, job evaluation, compensation strategy, and technology-enabled rewards solutions. You will advise senior management and HR leaders on designing and implementing scalable rewards and career frameworks that align talent, organizational, and business strategies.
We will count on you to
- Lead complex client engagements across broad-based compensation and workforce rewards, job architecture, job evaluation, career frameworks, and pay structures .
- Advise clients on the design and implementation of job architectures and job leveling frameworks , including the integration of jobs, levels, career paths, skills, and compensation structures.
- Help clients translate job architecture and rewards strategies into technology-enabled solutions , with consideration for HRIS, compensation, talent, and other workforce technology platforms.
- Advise clients on the data, process, governance, and technology requirements necessary to successfully implement and sustain job architecture and rewards programs.
- Embrace and help advance the use of AI, digital tools, and technology-enabled approaches in the delivery of compensation and workforce rewards solutions.
- Develop and monitor budgets and deadlines , oversee staff, delegate tasks, and peer review client work.
- Build strong client relationships by leading meetings, providing strategic guidance, resolving issues, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality work.
- Generate revenue through new client acquisition, cross-selling to current clients, and expansion of existing client engagements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert across markets and regions, leveraging Marsh’s intellectual capital.
- Advise senior management and HR leaders on pay competitiveness, compensation strategy, job architecture, career frameworks, and rewards governance .
What you need to have
- Proven experience in broad-based compensation and workforce rewards consulting , with deep knowledge of compensation strategy, market pricing, pay structures, and program design.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing job architecture, job leveling, and/or job evaluation frameworks within complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of how job architecture connects to compensation, career frameworks, talent processes, organizational structures, and HR technology .
- Experience working with HR and rewards technology , including an understanding of the data and process implications of implementing job architecture and compensation programs.
- Strong client management skills , with experience leading senior-level client meetings, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and resolving complex issues.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $240,000 to $360,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
