ROLE PURPOSE

We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Manager – Email Marketing to join our higher education company.

As Manager – Email Marketing, you will play a critical role in driving retention, engagement, lead nurturing, and conversion through lifecycle marketing and marketing automation. The role will be responsible for developing and executing personalised customer journeys across Email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Push Notifications .

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in marketing automation, workflow creation, journey orchestration, audience segmentation, and trigger-based communication . You will work closely with marketing, CRM, admissions, technology, and business teams to build automated journeys that improve engagement, application progression, enrolment, and overall business growth.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies:

Create and manage retention and lifecycle marketing strategies across the customer journey, including lead nurturing, engagement, application progression, conversion, reactivation, and retention.

1. Build and manage automated journeys:

Design and execute automated workflows and customer journeys using behavioural, event-based, time-based, and audience-based triggers to deliver relevant communication at the right stage of the customer lifecycle.

1. Manage multi-channel retention campaigns:

Plan, execute, and optimise campaigns across Email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Push Notifications , ensuring effective channel orchestration, personalisation, and communication frequency.

1. Leverage marketing automation platforms:

Work hands-on with platforms such as MoEngage, WebEngage, CleverTap, Marketo, NotifyVisitors , or similar tools to build campaigns, workflows, segments, triggers, and automated journeys.

1. Analyse and optimise campaign performance:

Monitor campaign and journey performance across engagement, conversion, lead progression, and enrolment metrics. Use data, segmentation, A/B testing, and experimentation to continuously improve performance.

1. Drive CRM and marketing automation excellence:

Work closely with CRM, technology, analytics, admissions, and marketing teams to ensure effective data integration, audience management, tracking, automation, and seamless execution of lifecycle campaigns.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field (preferred) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience .
• Proven experience in Email Marketing, CRM, Lifecycle Marketing, Retention Marketing, or Marketing Automation .
• Strong hands-on experience with MoEngage, WebEngage, CleverTap, Marketo, NotifyVisitors , or similar marketing automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of marketing automation, workflow creation, customer journey orchestration, and trigger-based communication .
• Hands-on experience across multiple retention channels including Email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Push Notifications .
• Strong understanding of customer segmentation, personalisation, lifecycle marketing, lead nurturing, and retention strategies .
• Experience in campaign optimisation, A/B testing, analytics, and performance reporting.
• Good understanding of CRM systems, customer data, event tracking, and marketing technology integrations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience in the education industry, BFSI, e-commerce, fintech, or other high-volume customer lifecycle businesses will be a plus.
