Job Description

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a HR Leader – DePuy Synthes , located in Mumbai, India .

The HR Leader, India Depuy Synthes will actively support business leaders to drive the talent agenda to enable business results through Coaching, Talent Management, Organizational Design, Change Management, and Business Partnering. They will address complex organizational challenges by providing HR leadership in support of local business goals, enterprise and sector HR strategies. The HR Leader will collaborate also with the regional HR Team to develop and implement an integrated HR Strategy for APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advises senior managers on HR issues and provides recommendations that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Develops methods for identifying and retaining key employees, including succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Consults on critical employee and labor relations issues, identifies trends and potential root causes, and makes recommendations to solve.
  • Facilitates department-level programs such as customized training and coaching to achieve business and organizational goals.
  • Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes, and provides functional (matrix) supervision.
  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
  • Provides expertise and is viewed as a valuable resource by peers.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Finance, Operations, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required

  • Typically 8-10 years of progressive experience in human resources management.
  • Experience supporting multi ‑ country or regional business operations in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem ‑ solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross ‑ functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across geographies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Exposure to healthcare, medical device , or other regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting transformation, change management, or growth initiatives.
  • Familiarity with regional performance management and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with global or APAC leadership teams.

Other

  • Languages: English proficiency is required; additional language skills are preferred.
  • Certifications: Human Resources management, strategy, or project management certifications are preferred.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
