As an Underground Service Crew Operator, you'll play a critical role in supporting safe and productive underground gold mining operations. Working alongside experienced development and production crews, you'll be responsible for installing and maintaining the essential underground services and infrastructure that keep our operations moving safely and efficiently.
This opportunity offers genuine variety. From ventilation installations and service extensions through to cable bolting, infrastructure maintenance and supporting production activities, you'll be exposed to a broad range of underground mining tasks while working across our growing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Scope, plan and execute underground service crew activities
- Install and maintain underground services and ventilation in development and production headings
- Install, remove and maintain secondary ventilation fans
- Install cable bolts in accordance with ground support plans
- Assist Jumbo Operators and Charge-up Operators as required
- Operate underground dump trucks and other mobile equipment when required
- Complete thorough pre-start inspections and report equipment defects promptly
- Assist electricians with the installation of high-voltage cables
- Construct ventilation walls and associated infrastructure
- Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and site procedures
- Mentor and support the development of Service Crew team members
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and compliance across all underground work areas
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Previous underground Service Crew experience within a hard rock mining environment
- Experience installing and maintaining underground services and ventilation
- Cable bolting experience
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of underground tasks and priorities
- Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Desirable
- Underground gold mining experience
- Experience assisting Jumbo and Charge-up crews
- Underground truck operating experience
- HR Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience mentoring and training underground operators
