About The Role
Electronic access into control room, monitoring cameras to reduce theft using CCTV systems. Responsible for application of CCTV and control room functions. Checking security violations and safety issues. Monitoring, analysing and incident conditions. Checking hotspots. They also responsible for the communication and effective guidance of protection services responses under incident and emergency conditions. Responsible to compile irregularity reports. The role reports to the Shift Protection Services Superintendent / Protection Officer.
Effective administration of control room responsibilities
Complete incident reports and follow up
Testify on evidence in hearings
Train/Coach section personnel on control room functions and procedures
Briefing of replacement on commencement of shift change
Complete shift reports
Complete and update security logs
- Grade 12
-  Registered with the PSIRA on grade D
-  Psychometric Assessment
-  No criminal record
-  Pass polygraph test
Experience 
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in security environment
-  CCTV surveillance systems and control room experience
knowledge and Skills
- Communications in English (spoken, written and reading)
- Handling of various emergency situations
- Observation skills
- Basic understanding of camera technology
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of production layout, production process and work activities
- Knowledge of radio communication
- Knowledge of handling alarms and organise effective response
