Job Overview

Job Summary:**

The Technician I QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of Primoris Services Corporation's QHSE programs. This role supports field operations by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, contributing to a safe and environmentally sound work environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and supporting the development of corrective actions.
  • Provide basic QHSE training and awareness to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, PPE use, and emergency procedures.
  • Help maintain accurate QHSE records, including inspection reports, incident logs, and training documentation.
  • Support the management of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Participate in the development and review of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other risk assessment tools.
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel and management regarding QHSE matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of QHSE reports and presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QHSE Manager or Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:**

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within construction, energy, or a related industrial sector.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Physical ability to perform field duties, including walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
