This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Packaging Production Designer based in Brazil.

This is a remote opportunity for a detail-oriented Packaging Production Designer supporting the development of high-quality consumer <packaging.You>’ll transform approved creative direction into precise, production-ready artwork across cartons, labels, inserts, and secondary packaging.The role combines strong design execution with deep knowledge of prepress, print production, typography, and packaging <specifications.You>’ll work across multiple SKUs, formats, and materials while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and manufacturability.Collaboration with internal teams, creative partners, and suppliers will be essential to resolving production challenges and improving workflows.The ideal environment is fast-moving and international, offering opportunities to contribute to commercially focused fragrance and consumer product collections.Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, proactive communication, and a continuous drive to improve both craft and production processes.

Accountabilities

Build accurate mechanical files from approved creative direction, ensuring compliance with dielines, bleeds, safety areas, and print specifications across cartons, labels, inserts, and secondary packaging.

Create bottom labels and update copy-heavy packaging files while maintaining visual consistency and production accuracy.

Prepare vendor-ready artwork, including CMYK and spot-color builds, overprint/knockout settings, trapping, white, varnish and foil plates, separations, linked assets, and fonts.

Develop simple, commercially viable fragrance collections covering graphics, typography, color, and line architecture, with a focus on mass-retail requirements.

Translate brand and creative direction into scalable SKUs, size variations, and line extensions while maintaining consistency across formats and substrates.

Preflight and quality-control all production files, managing revisions, feedback, and version control to reduce errors and rework.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve manufacturability issues and adjust layouts based on proofs, color targets, and press checks.

Maintain organized asset libraries, naming conventions, dieline repositories, specification sheets, and production checklists.

Ensure packaging artwork aligns with retailer guidelines and applicable regulatory and labeling requirements, including barcode and claims-placement standards.

Support cost optimization through efficient layouts, material and finish selection, gang-run opportunities, and consolidation of plates or finishes.

Create presentation-ready mockups and simple sell-in decks when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in packaging production design, ideally within CPG, beauty, fragrance, or a related industry.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for packaging production workflows.
  • Strong typography capabilities, including hierarchy, legibility, kerning, and grid systems, applied specifically to packaging.
  • Solid knowledge of prepress and print production, including Pantone, CMYK, spot colors, foil and emboss plates, varnishes, dielines, and substrates.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple versions, specifications, and production requirements accurately.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, creative stakeholders, and external suppliers.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities and requirements can evolve.
  • A continuous-learning mindset and willingness to improve processes, production quality, and design skills.
  • Experience with PowerPoint for editing or preparing presentation decks is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D rendering for bottles and packaging is advantageous, particularly using tools such as KeyShot, Adobe Dimension, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
  • Basic understanding of packaging engineering or CAD workflows and experience collaborating with packaging vendors are additional advantages.
  • Professional English fluency is required.
