Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Work Safe Act requirements, proactively identifying, mitigating, and reporting safety risks, incidents, and near misses.
- Support product development projects from concept to commercialization in collaboration with senior designers, ensuring timely delivery and effective project management.
- Maintain accurate development records, project documentation, specifications, product costing, compliance data, and master data for traceability and knowledge management.
- Evaluate raw materials and ingredient suitability for product applications, ensuring alignment with technical, quality, and business requirements.
- Coordinate production trials, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical support to customers, key accounts, and commercial teams.
- Contribute to innovation projects and new product introductions through cross-functional collaboration and pilot development activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing formulations, reducing costs, standardizing products, managing risks, and improving time-to-market and customer experience.
- Support manufacturing operations through complaint resolution, production issue investigations, staff training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Promote sustainability, ethical business practices, cross-functional collaboration, and compliance with company policies while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- University Degree, typically Food Technology or similar
- 1+ years in Product Development roles within food
- Manufacturing & commercial awareness
- Good understanding of Food Standards Australia New Zealand
- Clean, current NZ full Driver’s License
- Able to work as part of a team, leading when required and work in a global team of professionals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Communicates with clarity & has a high level of attention to detail
