OSS/BSS Senior Engineer - IRIS2

Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.

To be part of this project, we are looking for OSS/BSS Senior Engineer . The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Responsibilities

• Define OSS/BSS requirements for the services and network-management capabilities of the IRIS² multi-orbit system.
• Define the high-level architecture of OSS/BSS and service-management subsystems and their interfaces with network, IT and operational systems.
• Define implementation, integration and test plans for the proposed OSS/BSS subsystems.
• Perform the technical follow-up of subcontractor activities related to design, requirements compliance, development and validation.
• Support the higher-level integration of OSS/BSS subsystems into the Ground Segment and end-to-end service architecture.
• Support architectural trade-offs related to service fulfilment, assurance, inventory, orchestration, charging and reporting.
• During the operational phase, support anomaly investigation and the evolution of OSS/BSS capabilities.

Minimum requirements

• Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems.
• Experience with OSS/BSS, service-management and network-management systems.
• Knowledge of service provisioning, service assurance, inventory and network-resource orchestration.
• Knowledge of network slicing and orchestration in 4G or 5G environments.
• Experience with virtualisation and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of 3GPP core-network and service architectures.
• Experience in software development, integration and testing for telecommunications systems.
• Experience in managing or technically coordinating technology projects.
• Nationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.
