POSITION SUMMARY
The Surveillance Operator I is accountable to protect casino assets via CCTV.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned
- Ensure the safety of employees and guests and protect the casinos assets via CCTV.
- Clandestinely observe guests and employees on casino property for criminal activity and/or violations of the state gaming commission regulations and the company policies and procedures. Report observations to company and state officials when appropriate.
- Record surveillance activity in daily log.
- Completes all company required training successfully.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
- Ability to refrain from fraternization with employees from other departments.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard and telephone as well as radio equipment.
- Ability to work with and utilize digital recording equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
- Act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and work in a dark, windowless environment.
- Ability to use stairs required.
- Sitting 90%, walking 10%
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Casino environment exposed to bright lights, noise, changing temperatures and smoke. May include a boat and/or floating barge, hotel and atrium.
- Ability to be at work on time on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comply with our drug/alcohol free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause/post-accident drug tests.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic understanding of games, manuals, policies, procedures, internal controls as well as state regulations pertaining to gaming within first 90 days of employment.
- Successful completion of Op I assessment within 180 days.
- High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a valid Missouri Gaming license
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have no other family members employed at the Isle of Capri Casino/Hotel Boonville.
