Position Overview

Autodesk’s Interoperability Platform team builds the services and infrastructure that our customers and developers use to extend the capabilities of Autodesk’s design and make software. The platform helps grow business, solve important workflows across products, and build functionality on top of our 3D modeling, visualization, and data insight software. Working with internal dev teams within ADSK.

Our Interoperability platform solutions are essential to enable a wide variety of data flows into and out from our products. As a key member of our global Interoperability software development team located in the Pune, Shanghai and US, this Product Manager will be the voice of the customer, build and maintain product roadmaps, and help establish platform strategy as we work to ensure our products can interoperate through a wide range of data formats using file import and export operations and connections to cloud-based collaboration environments.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Interop projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional product teams to gather and synthesize their requirements into a cohesive road map
  • Clarify the business value of proposed interoperability projects
  • Communicate the value proposition of components, features, and plans to internal product teams and external customers and developers
  • Manage expectations of stakeholders through frequent and clear communication of vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Coordinate component adoption and gather requirements from a broad cross-section of teams at the company
  • Problem solve and break down complex problems
  • Work with industry stakeholders to understand and influence data exchange practices
  • Set goals, measure success, and enable teammates to do their best work
  • Advocate for the customer and business, weigh priorities and maintain an ongoing feedback loop between internal teams and external customers
  • Deliver energetic presentations, tell compelling stories, and actively listen to feedback
  • Collaborate with designers and researchers to advocate for, plan, and execute user research and solution validation plans

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years of product management experience in a technical field
  • Ability to break down complex data interoperability problems into strategic user-focused solutions
  • Demonstrated experience and success building roadmaps and ensuring accountability of delivery teams
  • Strategic mindset for business decisions and planning
  • Experience working in agile teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and persuasive presentation skills
  • Strong networking and persuasion abilities
  • Ability to work across US / EMEA/ APAC time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related
  • Experience with the CAD software development and delivery process
  • Experience delivering API or service-based cloud products and components
  • Technical background in cloud platform products, and/or component and service delivery
  • A background or familiarity with Architecture Engineering and Construction or BIM or Mechanical CAD products and file formats
