About the team
The Commercial Excellence practice, part of the PwC Strategy& network, is a fast-growing team with incredible momentum and senior support aimed at accelerating the firm’s ability to deliver client impact in the areas of pricing, salesforce effectiveness, go-to-market strategy and marketing effectiveness.
We are a tight-knit, entrepreneurial team of strategy consultants with deep knowledge of pricing and commercial excellence, coupled with experience working across industries and private equity operating teams. Given the rapid growth we are experiencing in winning client projects, we have the remit to accelerate the growth of our team and strengthen our capabilities.
What your days will look like
- Supporting clients across primarily B2B sectors (e.g. tech, media, industrials, business services, financial services, etc.) in functional areas related to commercial excellence, pricing, salesforce effectiveness, marketing and growth
- Building and maintaining relationships with industry and / or private equity clients
- Growing a business in a consulting environment through business development, pitching to potential clients and other supporting activities
This role is for you if
- Experience in Manager / Engagement Manager capacity in a consulting environment
- Expertise in Pricing and / or Sales Effectiveness encompassing more than the following:
- Pricing: price strategy, model/metric, level, controls, discounting, increases, policies etc
- Sales: organisation, coverage, enablement, incentives, training, tools etc
- Ability to independently run a classic pricing / commercial effectiveness project engagement with a client end-to-end
- Willingness and capability to support in varied business development activities (e.g. proposals, thought leadership, training, etc.)
- Strong commercial / business acumen, analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and coach a diverse, collaborative and high-performing team of consultants
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including clients and internal senior stakeholders across the wider PwC firm
- Significant client-facing experience at a top-tier consulting firm or at pricing/growth-focused consulting boutique
