Hayleys Fabric PLC

Hayleys Fabric PLC, a Subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, situated at Neboda, Horana, is the largest fabric manufacturer with a combined capacity of two fully owned manufacturing facilities. We produce nearly six million meters per month.

We are looking for engineers with industry experience (preferably fabric). Remuneration will depend on your experience and is negotiable.

Deputy General Manager - Engineering

We are looking for a dynamic and technically accomplished engineering professional to lead and oversee the Engineering function of our fabric manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, extensive experience in industrial engineering and maintenance management, and a proven track record of driving equipment reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities –

  • Ensure machine downtime KPI’s are met.
  • Lead and coordinate all Engineering operations across the fabric manufacturing plant.
  • Plan and execute of all preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead and initiate cost saving and energy efficiency projects across the plant.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage spare parts and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor plant efficiency and reliability and maintain engineering quality standards.

Candidate Profile –

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing (preferably fabric) environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, utilities and maintenance management systems.
  • Computer literacy and report handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage teams effectively.
